- Learn to fly.

- The Lord of the Rings
- Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
- The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (All five books in the trilogy)
- Starship Troopers, any of RAH’s early stuff. The rest gets patchier.
- Inside Macintosh. An absolute marvel of technical documentation. I learned more about programming from IM than any other source.
- The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. All the Narnia books are great, but Lion just has that special bit of magic.
- Roger Zelazny’s Amber books

- The Evil dead trilogy.
- A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
- Patton (”Rommel you magnifuicent bastard! I read your book!”)
- TIE: Blazing Saddles and Holy Grail
The Evil Dead trilogy is great! The third one’s a little weak though.
Roger Zelazny’s ‘Lord of Light’ is pure brilliance as well.
